๐ฏFor a long time, Indian women ko night shift jobs se exclude kiya ja raha tha โ safety concerns ke naam par. But Supreme Court ke judgments ne clear kar diya hai ki aise blanket bans unconstitutional hote hain. Ab states actively women empowerment ke liye naye compliance norms ke through night shift permissions de rahe hain.
๐ฏRecently, Madhya Pradesh Government ne 27 June 2025 ko do naye notifications issue kiye โ ek Shops & Establishments ke liye, aur doosra Factories ke liye โ jinke through women ko night shift me kaam karne ki permission di gayi hai, specific safety and compliance conditions ke basis par.

Ab women employees ko 9 PM se 7 AM ke beech night shift me kaam karne ki permission milegi, lekin kuch key conditions ke sath:
โ Written consent lena mandatory hai, aur night shift me kam se kam 5 women ka batch hona chahiye
โ Maternity Benefit Act & doosre related laws ka full compliance
โ Workplace safe ho, aur agar 10+ women kaam kar rahi hain toh entry/exit par women guards zaroor hone chahiye
โ Proper sanitation + CCTV surveillance hona chahiye
โ Full compliance with POSH Act for workplace harassment prevention

Factories me ab women ko 8 PM โ 6 AM ke night shift me employ kiya ja sakta hai โ with these important conditions:
โ Written consent + minimum 5 women per night shift
โ No women to be employed in violation of maternity laws
โ Pick & drop facility employer ki taraf se mandatory
โ Workplace aur passages well-lit + CCTV + sanitation facilities
โ Entry/exit par women guards, aur lodging areas me wardens/supervisors (female)
โ Night shift supervisory team me 1/3rd staff women honi chahiye
โ Minimum 12 hours rest between 2 shifts
โ Full compliance with POSH Act
